“It’s a Ben Sherman” began as an English run commercial in the 1970s, celebrating the brand’s quality and versatile shirts. When the brand wanted to revisit this messaging for modern campaign, Nash designed the branding, layout, and campaign rollout for digital and e-commerce.

The campaign aims to convey a strong sense of comfort and leisure that’s made Ben Sherman a timeless brand. The strong type treatment for the headline, paired with a lightweight Helvetica for the sub-categories and descriptions that accompany each advertisement further cement the story of why the brand is so iconic to shirting.

In 2019, Ben Sherman created the street focused collection ‘B by Ben Sherman’ , aimed at the Gen-Z customer. The collection incorporates aspects of streetwear and workwear with attention to specific styles and fits. We helped build out the brand identity and graphics.

In 2020 the brand collaborated with famed British photographer Brian Cannon, who’s work spans underground clubs in London, as well as album covers for Oasis, The Arctic Monkeys, and more. Nash worked with Cannon’s rich archive to create a graphic inspired by the Northern Soul dance movement.

In 2018, Ben Sherman returned to SoHo to open a Concept Store for 6 months at 130 Greene St. Nash created the Coming Soon storefront display, hero signage, and an assortment of apparel and marketing graphics for the brand.

During the store buildout we created a curated DIY window display featuring prominent imagery from both NY and London based newspapers, acting as a collage for the English brands return stateside. The central theme surrounding the idea of ‘The British are Coming…back’ .

The store’s focal image ‘God Save Ben Sherman’ played an homage to Jaime Reid’s ‘God Save the Queen’ for the Sex Pistols. With the brand resonating with decades of British youth in music and other cultural facets, this image carried the torch in establishing a truly British spirit and aesthetic in America.
