KEEN is a outdoors footwear brand hailing from the Northwestern United States in Portland, Oregon. Globally recognized as a leader in versatile active products, the brand reached out to Only NY to create a custom shoe for their 30 year anniversary of the patented UNEEK silhouette.

CAMPAIGN

Nash served as the Creative Director of the campaign for Only NY as part of KEEN’s global commemoration of the UNEEK shoe, with celebratory releases and a custom product offered to 3 total brands in London, Tokyo, and New York. Deliverables included a photoshoot, video, marketing campaign, and in-store launch event at the Greenpoint, Brooklyn location.

The campaign revolved around the idea of movement through the city, which is something every New Yorker has to experience on the daily. Commuting can be hectic, and in NYC that’s commonplace, so wearing versatile yet comfortable footwear is key to moving about your day. The video and still imagery show Rahmell running errands through downtown and hitting the train before linking up with a friend for a game of handball, and finally hitting a bodega for some snacks. The end of the video pays homage to a classic NYC scene of throwing shoes along a telephone line.
