Babe’s Diner - Sag Harbor, N.Y.
BRIEF
Babe’s Diner is a traditional diner using elevated and local ingredients for their menu. Nestled in historic Sag Harbor, N.Y just North of the Hamptons, the diner is a tiny 8 seat space with little room and big character. A no reservations eatery, Babe’s encourages guests to enjoy the company of fellow diners while they wait, much like how things were before the 2010s.
Nash was hired to design the visual identity, diner menu, merchandise, and execute the lifestyle content to launch the brand in Spring 2026. Since opening, Babe’s has become one of the hottest restaurants in NY, with many celebrities and regulars alike wanting some pancakes or a bacon egg and cheese on a roll.

THE CONCEPT
The Northeast and especially Long Island, love a great diner. There’s something about the non-pretentious welcoming atmosphere that disarms even the toughest customers.
For the branding Nash landed on a custom script wordmark that feels elevated yet utilitarian which is the exact vibe of the restaurant. The menu design is a nod to the past when menu’s were treated like fun scavenger hunts and playful works of commercial art. The illustrations are inspired by folk art / classic Americana and use a loose line style to convey a familiar look that’s not too fussy.
Reaction
Babe’s hit the ground running with some great mentions by the NY Post and many other NY publications, and local celebrities out in the Hamptons for the summer. The Diner became an instant classic for it’s non-pretentious 8-seat diner, great food, fun atmosphere, and being a gathering place for exciting collaborations and brand features out East.

The Collaborations
Outside of having a popular diner in Sag Harbor, the Babe’s team leveraged their connections in NYC to invite some of the best restaurants to come out and have a limited menu at the space.
The largest collaboration was with Upper West Side institution, Barney Greengrass, where Nash designed limited edition merchandise and menu. Other NYC collaborations featured Pecking House, Ronnie’s Pronto from KITH founder Ronnie Fieg, Mark’s Off Madison, Santo Taco, Jeans BBQ, and more.
